The city beach is already 3.5 km away, but you have the beaches to choose from. Along the beautiful coast are many hidden bays. Nice to take a day trip by car and visit several of them. The idyllic bays Praia de São Rafael and Coelha for example (both 5 km). Of course, you can also just pick one and stay there all day.
To really get to know this part of the Algarve, be sure to leave the coast too. A beautiful drive brings you to the picturesque villages of Paderne (20 km) and Alte (30 km). Both villages are set against a hill and time seems to have stood still here.
